Lawyer: Jailed pair shocked by Boston bomb claims

Lawyer: Jailed pair shocked by Boston bomb claims, Two college friends of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev who were jailed by immigration authorities the day after his capture had nothing to do with the deadly attack and had seen no hints that he harbored any violent thoughts or terrorist sympathies, a lawyer for one of them said Friday.

Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev, who are from Kazakhstan, were classmates with Tsarnaev at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. They appeared alongside him in a recent photograph of a group of young men visiting New York City's Times Square. They were detained April 20 after being questioned in connection with the bombing, which had killed three people and injured more than 260 others a few days earlier.

"These kids are just as shocked and horrified about what happened as everyone else," Kadyrbayev's lawyer, Robert Stahl, said in a phone interview. "They can't even fathom something like this from a kid who seemed to be a typical young college student."

Tazhayakov and Kadyrbayev have been interviewed at length, twice, by FBI agents and have cooperated fully, said Stahl, a former federal prosecutor. They are not suspects but are being held for violating their student visas by not regularly attending classes, Stahl said. They are being detained at a county jail in Boston.

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry said Monday night that U.S. authorities came across the two while searching for "possible links and contacts" to Tsarnaev, a sophomore at the university. U.S. immigration officials have declined to discuss the reasons why the men were detained.

John Hoey, an assistant chancellor at UMass Dartmouth, said Kadyrbayev is no longer enrolled; he was last a student in the fall. Tazhayakov is enrolled.

The pair had lived at an off-campus apartment in New Bedford, about 60 miles south of Boston, and got around in a car registered to Kadyrbayev with a souvenir plate that says "Terrorista (hash)1." The car was pictured on Tsarnaev's Twitter feed in March.

That plate was just a joke gift from some of Kadyrbayev's friends, meant to invoke his penchant for late-night partying rather than his political sentiments, Stahl said.

"It's such a silly thing. Bad timing," Stahl said. "His desire is to be released so he can return home. He would like to go home to the comfort of his family. You can imagine being 19 years old and having SWAT teams break down your door. It's a terrible situation."

Stahl said the young Kazakhs didn't see Tsarnaev in the days before or after the April 15 bombing.

Tazhayakov's lawyer, Thomas Kirsch, did not immediately return a phone call or an email message Friday evening.

Tsarnaev, who was captured hiding in a tarp-covered boat in a suburban Boston yard after a lengthy manhunt, is in federal custody. His older brother, the other identified suspect in the bombing, died after a shootout with police. Their mother has said the allegations against them are lies.

Boston bomb suspect moved; FBI probe shifts focus

Boston bomb suspect moved; FBI probe shifts focus, Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhohkar Tsarnaev was moved from a hospital to a federal prison medical center while FBI agents shifted the focus of their investigation to how the deadly plot was pulled off and searched for evidence Friday in a landfill near the college he attended.

Tsarnaev, 19, was taken from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he was recovering from a throat wound and other injuries suffered during an attempt to elude police last week, and he was transferred to the Federal Medical Center Devens, about 40 miles from Boston, the U.S. Marshals Service said. The facility, at a former Army base, treats federal prisoners.

"It's where he should be; he doesn't need to be here anymore," said Beth Israel patient Linda Zamansky, who thought his absence could reduce stress on bombing victims who have been recovering at the hospital under tight security.

The FBI's investigation of the April 15 bombing has turned from identification and apprehension of suspects to piecing together details of the plot, including how long the planning took, how it was carried out and whether anyone else knew or was involved.

A federal law enforcement official not authorized to speak on the record about the investigation told The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity on Friday that the FBI was gathering evidence regarding "everything imaginable."

FBI agents picked through a landfill near the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where Tsarnaev was a sophomore. FBI spokesman Jim Martin would not say what investigators were looking for.

An aerial photo in Friday's Boston Globe showed a line of more than 20 investigators, all dressed in white overalls and yellow boots, picking over the garbage with shovels or rakes.

Investigators also have continued to interview people who were close to Tsarnaev, including two young men from Kazakhstan who were students with him at UMass Dartmouth.

Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev were jailed by immigration authorities the day after Tsarnaev's capture.

Kadyrbayev's lawyer, former federal prosecutor Robert Stahl, said the pair, who had partied with Tsarnaev and other students at an off-campus apartment, had nothing to do with the attack and had no idea their friend harbored any violent thoughts.

"These kids are just as shocked and horrified about what happened as everyone else," Stahl said. He said they are being held for violating their student visas by not regularly attending classes and want to return to Kazakhstan as soon as possible.

U.S. officials, meanwhile, said that the bombing suspects' mother had been added to a federal terrorism database about 18 months before the deadly attack — a disclosure that deepens the mystery around the Tsarnaev family and marks the first time American authorities have acknowledged that Zubeidat Tsarnaeva was under investigation before the tragedy.

The news is certain to fuel questions about whether President Barack Obama's administration missed opportunities to thwart the marathon bombing, which killed three people and wounded more than 260.

Tsarnaev is charged with joining with his older brother, now dead, in setting off the shrapnel-packed pressure-cooker bombs. The brothers are ethnic Chechens from Russia who came to the United States about a decade ago with their parents.

Investigators have said it appears that the brothers were angry about the U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Two government officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the investigation, said the CIA had Zubeidat Tsarnaeva's name added to the terror database along with that of her son Tamerlan Tsarnaev after Russia contacted the agency in 2011 with concerns that the two were religious militants.

About six months earlier, the FBI investigated mother and son, also at Russia's request, one of the officials said. The FBI found no ties to terrorism. Previously U.S. officials had said only that the FBI investigated Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

In an interview from Russia, Tsarnaeva said Friday that she has never been linked to terrorism.

"It's all lies and hypocrisy," she said from Dagestan. "I'm sick and tired of all this nonsense that they make up about me and my children. People know me as a regular person, and I've never been mixed up in any criminal intentions, especially any linked to terrorism."

Tsarnaeva faces shoplifting charges in the U.S. over the theft of more than $1,624 worth of women's clothing from a Lord & Taylor department store in Natick in 2012.

Earlier this week, she said she has been assured by lawyers that she would not be arrested if she traveled to the U.S., but she said she was still deciding whether to go. The suspects' father, Anzor Tsarnaev, said that he would leave Russia soon for the United States to visit one son and lay the other to rest.

A team of investigators from the U.S. Embassy in Moscow has questioned both parents in Russia this week, spending many hours with the mother in particular over two days.

Meanwhile, New York's police commissioner said the FBI was too slow to inform the city that the Boston Marathon suspects had been planning to bomb Times Square days after the attack at the race.

Federal investigators learned about the short-lived scheme from a hospitalized Dzhokhar Tsarnaev during a bedside interrogation that began Sunday night and extended into Monday morning, officials said. The information didn't reach the New York Police Department until Wednesday night.

"We did express our concerns over the lag," said police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, who with Mayor Michael Bloomberg had announced the findings on Thursday.
The FBI had no comment Friday.

Millionaires Clash Over Socialite’s Child Support Claims

Millionaires Clash Over Socialite’s Child Support Claims, As an accomplished mountaineer who has scaled many of the world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest, Annabelle Bond has found herself in some dicey situations. Now she finds herself in a very different sort of predicament — a nasty legal fight between a former lover and her current one.

Her boyfriend, Andrew Cader, a former Goldman Sachs executive and part owner of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball franchise, is accused of conspiring with Ms.

Bond to hide her true financial condition so that she could secure more than $50,000 a month in child support payments last December from the Wall Street financier Warren G. Lichtenstein, who has a 5-year-old daughter with the British socialite.

Ms. Bond deviously obtained the outsize child support from a Hong Kong court to “improve upon her already extraordinary life of luxury, privilege and modest fame,” contends the lawsuit, which was filed by Mr. Lichtenstein in Federal District Court in Manhattan.
That Ms. Bond lives an extraordinary life of luxury and privilege is not in dispute. The daughter of Sir John R. H. Bond, the former chairman of the global banking giant HSBC, Ms. Bond, 43, has traveled the world as a mountain climber and extreme athlete.

(The lawsuit derisively calls her a “self-described ‘activist and adventurer.’ ”) Her family has homes in London, Hong Kong, Florida and Aspen, Colo.
Mr. Lichtenstein said that in order to help Ms.

Bond conceal her actual economic condition and obtain inflated child support payments, Mr. Cader disguised as loans millions of dollars in cash gifts he had given her.
Mr. Cader also characterized the disbursements as loans to avoid paying gift tax in the United States, according to the complaint.

“The case was brought to prevent an injustice and reflects Warren’s deep concern for the welfare of his child,” said Stanley Arkin, the lawyer for Mr. Lichtenstein.
Mr. Cader and Ms. Bond did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

Though Mr. Lichtenstein’s lawsuit was filed in New York and raises questions about a Hong Kong court ruling, the origins of the case trace to Aspen, the ski-resort town and favorite second or third home for the Wall Street elite.

Mr. Lichtenstein, Mr. Cader and Ms. Bond all have homes in Aspen, which is where Ms. Bond met Mr. Lichtenstein, who has one child from a previous marriage. The two were once engaged but never married; their relationship ended amicably in 2007, just months before their daughter’s birth.

“He is an amazing guy, but I think that sometimes it’s better to have one happy parent than two unhappy ones,” Ms. Bond told The Evening Standard newspaper in London at the time.

Mr. Lichtenstein, 47, made his fortune through his New York-based hedge fund, Steel Partners, which he started in 1992 and last year became a publicly traded company. Known in financial circles as combative and litigious, Mr. Lichtenstein buys large stakes in underperforming companies and agitates for change.

Among his holdings are WebBank, a Utah-based financial company, and the industrial business Handy & Harman.

This is the second time this year that Mr. Lichtenstein, a native of Great Neck, N.Y., on Long Island, has appeared in the press because of his personal life.

The gossip papers were recently filled with rumors that he was dating the reality television personality and entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel, who is in the middle of a messy public divorce.

The two are old friends and not romantically involved, a person briefed on with the matter said.

Mr. Lichtenstein’s courtroom adversary, Mr. Cader, 54, started his career as a floor broker on the New York Stock Exchange for Spear, Leeds & Kellogg. In 1997, he took over as co-chief executive of the firm and earned hundreds of millions of dollars when Goldman Sachs acquired Spear Leeds for about $6.5 billion in 2000.

(A skilled musician, Mr. Cader moonlighted as a percussionist while trading, and has a credit for playing rub-board on the 1985 Talking Heads album, “Little Creatures.”)
He and several of his former Spear Leeds colleagues bought the Rays in 2004.

Though some of them play an active role in the team’s management, Mr. Cader has a small, passive stake. Mr. Cader, who has a child from a previous marriage, owns a jet, a Dassault Falcon 50, which he uses to travel among homes in Hong Kong, Aspen and Mount Kisco, N.Y. He, too, knows Ms. Bond from Aspen.

Around the time they met, Ms. Bond became locked in a legal dispute with Mr. Lichtenstein over the support of their daughter. The dispute took an ugly turn, according to the lawsuit, when Ms. Bond moved with their daughter to Hong Kong — “a jurisdiction that was half a world away,” according to the complaint.

Mr. Lichtenstein says he then learned that Ms. Bond and their daughter had moved into a home in Hong Kong’s upscale Strawberry Hill neighborhood.

Mr. Cader was renting the home for $26,000 a month and structured it as a loan to Ms. Bond, she told Mr. Lichtenstein — and more than $3.5 million in cash was also described as a loan, according to the complaint.

“These representations are false,” the complaint says. “The cash gifts and lease payments from Mr. Cader — who on information and belief has a net worth of hundreds of millions of dollars — were gifts to his longtime paramour, Ms. Bond.”

Mr. Lichtenstein argues that the Hong Kong court relied on Ms. Bond’s lies in awarding her $41,800 a month in child support, plus school, tutoring, medical, travel and other substantial expenses. That amount, Mr. Lichtenstein claims, “is one of the largest — if not the largest — child support ever issued by a Hong Kong court.”

He did not name Ms. Bond, a resident of Hong Kong, as a defendant, but took aim at her dating history. “Ms. Bond has gone from one millionaire lover to another,” the complaint says, “spending millions of dollars of their money to support her lavish lifestyle, and has then moved on to her next wealthy lover or lovers to support her and finance her litigation efforts.”

According to her Web site, in 2005 Ms. Bond became the fastest woman and the fourth-fastest person ever to reach all “seven summits,” the highest peaks on each continent, having accomplished the feat in less than a year.

She has given talks at numerous Wall Street firms about her climbing exploits, including Morgan Stanley, Blackstone Group and Credit Suisse. On her Twitter feed on Thursday, she made no mention of the lawsuit, but posted a photo of herself at the top of Mount Everest.

“Nearly my summit of Everest anniversary,” she wrote. “My respects to the mother goddess.”

Kaley Cuoco new hairdo: New Hairdo to January's SAG Award

Kaley Cuoco new hairdo started to trend online today when celebrities hit a red carpet event, they know their looks are going to be scrutinized the next day, but Kaley Cuoco got more than she bargained for when she donned a hideous new hairdo to January's SAG Awards, leaving many wondering what on Earth she could have been thinking. On Thursday night's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the 27-year-old finally answered that question.

The hairstyle that had the fashion and celeb blogosphere up in arms involved fringey, face-framing, fake-looking bangs and straightened hair that replaced her usually wavy blond locks that night. The look was dubbed everything from "helmet head" to "horrific."

Turns out the "Big Bang Theory" star had a good reason for wearing those big bangs … but admits the choice was a bad one.

While rehearsing a scene with co-star Johnny Galecki, during which their characters were supposed to be fighting, the two decided to pull a prank on fellow cast and crew members. They got into a dramatic (but fake) all-out brawl, where Galecki would pretend to be punching Cuoco and she'd go flying across the room. All went according to plan, until Cuoco realized she had actually hit her head for real and ended up with a bleeding gash that needed six stitches.

By the time the SAG Awards rolled around the following week, Cuoco had not just the stitches, but a black eye.

"It was really, really bad," she told Kimmel, "so I decided to have the brilliant idea to get bangs. As you can see I don't have bangs so I had to get fake bangs" … even though her stylists advised against it. "A bunch of them said 'let's maybe not do the bangs,' but I wanted to wear them because it covered my eye and I was really insecure about this huge black eye."

With the incident behind her, Cuoco was a truly good sport when it came to making fun of herself during the Kimmel appearance, even bringing the cursed hairpiece along with her. "These bangs who I've named Bev, Bev the bangs, almost ruined my entire career," she joked as the show put up a photo of the hideous hair. "You look like a country singer," laughed Kimmel. Reports omg.yahoo

"It's bad, yeah. It was honestly the worst reviewed hair in history," admitted the blonde, who went on to read some of the scathing web comments to laughs from the audience.

But the best was still to come. Kimmel took the opportunity to rid the young actress of "Bev" once and for all and had the studio's security guard/show regular Guillermo tie the clip-on bangs to a bundle of helium balloons before letting them fly away from the roof of the show's Hollywood studio.

"I can't let her ruin any more lives," insisted Cuoco. "I have to release her into the universe and be done with her."

Warning to Southern California residents: If these bangs land in your yard, do not attempt to wear them to an awards show. Seriously.

Kaley Cuoco new hairdo

Kaley Cuoco new hairdo at SAG awards finally explained, Kaley Cuoco is finally speaking out about the new hairdo she had at the SAG awards. On April 26, Yahoo reported that she finally spoke out about why she had some new bangs going on at the award show.

While on with Jimmy Kimmel on his show, she explained that the bangs were not just a fashion statement. She actually was messing around on the set of "The Big Bang Theory" when she pretending to fake fight Johnny Galecki. She ended up hitting her head on the wall and it was so bad that she needed stitches.

Kaley used the clip on bangs to cover up her stitches and thought that they would look just fine but that was not the case at all. She said that it was the worst reviewed hair in history. It did not go over well with fans or critics at all.

Too sexy for Saudi Arabia? Man ordered to leave country because he's 'too sexy'

Too sexy for Saudi Arabia? Man ordered to leave country because he's 'too sexy', Well this seems to be the case. Various international portals such as MSN, reported that a photographer, actor and poet from Dubai has bothered the religious police of Saudi Arabia because of his appearance. The Telgegraph explained on April 26 that Omar Borkan Al Gala and two other men were deported because they were "too sexy," and officials could not allow them to be distracting to women.

Omar and some of his companions were members of a delegation from the UAE who attended the Jenadrivah Heritage & Cultural Festival in Saudi Arabia. However, they were ordered to leave the festival and deported out of the country because they were extremely attractive and event organizers feared that women would "fall in love with them" and forget their morals.

Although not yet confirmed, Omar Borkan Al Gala was indeed one of the three men who were deported for being "too sexy." This is mainly believed because he posted a link to the news on his Facebook page.

He also added thoughts such as:

"The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides."

For months there has been video that was uploaded to YouTube with images of Omar Borkan Al Gala. Just a few days following the incident, traffic to the video has increased exponentially. Surely Omar is enjoying his newly acquired fame.

Paltrow humiliated: Quick shave needed last minute for her see-through dress

Paltrow humiliated: Quick shave needed last minute for her see-through dress, Gwyneth Paltrow was humiliated when she donned a gown that was designed to wear without underwear and as soon as she put it on, everyone scrambled for a razor. This was at the “Iron Man 3” Premiere, shared Paltrow, who couldn't believe she was sharing this incident on TV, according to Yahoo News on April 26, 2013.

Paltrow sat down with Ellen DeGeneres, who has a way of bringing out the most sacred of secrets the stars very rarely share. She told Ellen how the gown's shear fish-net sides didn't allow for underwear. She took the gown with her to change into before walking the red carpet into the premiere. As soon as she put it on it was obvious to all involved that she needed a quick shave.

Ellen quipped, the gown only had the sheer opening on the sides, but Paltrow quickly added that it is the way she walks that warranted the shave, “I walk a 70's vibe,” Paltrow said coyly, “You know what I mean?” She said she was humiliated by the bad press the dress got for her.

Ellen then asked her about another daring gown that she wore on the "Tonight Show" on April 25. That was another dress that you couldn't wear underwear with, but she said she got lucky because she put it on and it just stayed in place. Gwyneth's down to earth demeanor is just one more reminder as to why she deserved to win People's “Most Beautiful Woman in the World” for 2013.

Paltrow humiliated at Paltrow humiliated

Paltrow humiliated, Gwyneth Paltrow was left red-faced after realizing she bared her butt in a revealing dress at the “Iron Man 3″ premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, branding her fashion choice “a disaster.”

The actress turned heads when she walked the red carpet in a daring Antonio Berardi gown, which featured sheer side panels and left her backside on display, and she has now revealed the outfit was put together in a hurry as she was running late following a TV show taping..reported

The 40-year-old, who was this week named the world’s most beautiful woman by People magazine, decided against wearing underwear with the dress, and as a result, she faced a last-minute intimate grooming session.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, Paltrow says, “Oh, I kind of had a disaster. I was doing a show and I changed there and I went (sic) I couldn’t wear underwear. I don’t think I can tell this story on TV…

“Well, let’s just say everyone went scrambling for a razor. … So I went from being the most beautiful to the most humiliated. In one day… I work a 70s vibe. You know what I mean?”

In an interview with the Associated Press, Paltrow talked about her new title as the world’s most beautiful woman.

She says, “It’s funny, these things, because it’s, like, obviously not true. But it’s very sweet to be named that.

“Because I mean you can’t say that, you know! But it’s been wonderful. It’s been very wonderful. And as my friend said, it’s so nice that someone who has kids and is a mom and is not, like, 21 is named that. It’s really an honor.”

Amanda Bynes Shaves Half Her Head

Amanda Bynes Shaves Half Her Head, The 27-year-old retired actress posted two photos of her new haircut, and captioned, “I buzzed half my head like @cassie! No more old photos! This is the new me! I love it!” She was referring to the R&B singer, Cassie, who has a similar hairstyle.

One photo shows Bynes with a curled updo and the other with a half-shaven head.

The “Hairspray” star had a hair crisis two weeks ago, and was seen perusing New York hat stands to perhaps conceal the noticeable micro-beading on her scalp from her attached bleach-blond tresses.

“I had to shave my head because of hair damage from someone @ John Barrett so I’m not loving my paparazzi pics for a few years. I have extensions but you can see them!”

Anne Frank Diary 'pornographic'

Anne Frank Diary 'pornographic', An enraged mother in Northville, Michigan, is on the fight and has formed a formal complaint against her daughter's school district about a book she feel is offensive and inappropriate for a seventh grade class. The Inquisitr reports on April 26, 2013, that the mother is bent out of shape due to believing that "The Diary of Anne Frank" is pornographic.

Gail Horalek has said that the unedited version of the "Anne Frank Diary" is pornographic, and far too much for her daughter's seventh grade class. She continued on stating that Frank details the discovery her genitalia in the book.

Horalek's complaint stems from the fact that she believes that Meads Mill Middle School should have checked with parents and gotten permission from parents first.

“The problem is the school is giving the seventh graders inappropriate material and not explaining it to the parents,” Horalek told the Patch.

The upset mother went on to say that permission should have been received and a letter should have been sent home to parents.

“If they watch any kind of movie with a swear word in it, I have to sign a permission slip," Horalek said.

Horalek's daughter brought the unedited passages of the "Anne Frank Diary" to her attention and realized they were pornographic. She said other parents were not aware of them either.

For those that aren't in the know, "The Diary of Anne Frank" tells the first-hand account of the young girl's experiences during the Holocaust. A situation she had to go through as not only a child, but a Jewish one.

Horalek's daughter and two other students approached the teacher about the book and ended up making a switch.

Debt Collector $8.97

Debt Collector $8.97, Small debt forces collector out to do his job. There is doing your job, and then there is doing your job. MSN Money revealed on April 26, 2013, that Credit.com has recently had to deal with a question from a concerned citizen. That person was wondering that if the debt collector coming after their $8.97 debt will end up hurting their credit.

Yes, an $8.97 debt.

The email went like so:

Today I received a letter in the mail from a collection agency stating that a DVD I rented from Family Video (probably 5 years ago) has gone to collections. The total that I owe is $8.97. Am I going to get a bad credit score for an unpaid bill of $8.97?! Help would be greatly appreciated.

-- Jillian

Now, that is a totally legitimate question and one that would make anyone wonder. Jillian would certainly hate to have her credit affected by any kind of debt, and especially by one as small as $8.97.

It isn't as common today, but these low dollar transaction debt collections were big news many years ago. At that time, people got debt collectors on them for old library fines and other such small amounts. With the debt collection industry becoming so profitable, it isn't surprising that they're trying it again.

Credit.com tried to help Jillian out and give her the best advice possible. They wanted her to know that a debt collector coming after $8.97 could indeed hurt your credit, and it's actually as damaging as a debt of thousands of dollars or more.

There are exceptions and ways to fix the situation, and Credit.com can help Jillian and anyone else out with that.

Facebook friend $174.17: Each ‘like’ click makes Facebook-smart business $174.17

Facebook friend $174.17: Each ‘like’ click makes Facebook-smart business $174.17, The fact that a click on a Facebook "friend" or "like" button translates into $174.17 means power for Facebook users and power for those businesses who are Facebook smart. The value of a Facebook user’s click was examined in a research study conducted by Syncapse, a social intelligence company which analyzed the value of a Facebook fan, described a Yahoo Business News Daily report on April 26, 2013.

“Following the old maxim that 20 percent of customers represent 80 percent of revenues (also known as the Pareto principle), the study suggests that the better you can isolate key customer segments, the more relevant your messaging can be to drive loyalty and grow revenues through targeted offers.”

Facebook-smart business owners who are aware that Facebook is not only a social media website but a customer media website will not only direct their marketing strategies onto a company’s Facebook page but also use Facebook as a direct way to interact with customers.

Once upon a time, the pre-Facebook business world used customer complaint forms or a customer hotline to interact with customers.

In today’s social media world, the Facebook-smart business has customer complaint forms, a customer hotline, and a customer suggestion box all in one place; on its Facebook page. Marketing strategists who used to spend time in a board room trying to come up with new marketing ideas will most likely get more profitable marketing ideas through Facebook users’ comments.

Many Facebook users are not only social but also quite vocal in what they like and dislike. Taking a Facebook user's likes and dislikes into consideration means customers will more likely click on a “like” or “friend” button on a business’s website. With a value of $174.17 per click, it doesn’t take a calculator to compute the profit a business can make by being Facebook smart.

Facebook users who are aware that a “like” or “friend” click translates into a $174.17 earning for a business will discover a new kind of consumer power.

For example, Facebook users who have a problem with a service or a product can directly communicate their complaint or dislike on a company’s Facebook page. Any Facebook-smart business will respond promptly in a positive and productive manner to a Facebook user’s complaint. After all, the complaint or "dislike" might be shared within minutes by hundreds, thousands,or maybe even millions of potential customers.

Creative Facebook users who like a product but would like to see an improvement of a product can also use the knowledge that a Facebook “like” or “friend” click translates into $174.17 as a means to be listened to or at least be acknowledged as a customer who cares about a service or a product.

For a business, the old saying that “the customer is always right” might need to be expanded to the phrase “the Facebook user customer is always right.”

“Your brand's Facebook users are your evangelists. The study recommends prioritizing your social media marketing investment to make sure they're happy: Ensure they feel appreciated and nurtured, and find ways to talk about your brand and share their opinion.”

Happy customers and an income of $174.17 per Facebook “friend” or “like” click certainly appears to be a win-win situation for Facebook-smart businesses and Facebook users.

McDonald's all-day breakfast?

McDonald's all-day breakfast?, Consumers can expect one of the world's largest restaurant chains to look very different in the future, with new menu items, delivery services, loyalty programs, and maybe even all-day breakfast options. McDonald's President and CEO Don Thompson, in a wide-ranging interview with CNBC's "Squawk on the Street" offered a peek into the future of the fast-food chain.

When asked whether there was potential for McDonald's to serve breakfast all day, Thompson replied: "Yes, we would consider it. We have the focus on our existing menu, but we have looked at breakfast across the day. We have it in some markets around the world."

He added that the McDonald's has looked at some "innovative ways" to expand breakfast hours for customers. "I think we'll be seeing some of those things in the near future," Thompson.

The company is also experimenting with delivery services in in some countries "in a big way," as well as in densely populated areas in the U.S. Thompson said that "delivery is a big, big opportunity, particularly in areas where you don't have drive-throughs."

Rival Burger King Worldwide began offering delivery in Washington, D.C., early last year, and has since expanded the service to Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, and San Francisco.

Despite being "a little bit late" to embrace mobile services, Thompson sees this being a major component of McDonald's in the future. "We have tests already all around the world, making steps and strides to experiment both in mobile payments and consumer engagement with the company," he said.

On the potential of a customer "rewards loyalty program," Thompson said he "loves the idea," adding that "we might see something like that in the future."

With approximately 160 items on the global pipeline, Thompson said that this will help drive McDonald's growth, driving traffic and same store sales. Many of the new products seen by American consumers, such as the Blueberry Pomegranate Smoothie or the Fish McBites were originally successful products abroad and were adapted for the U.S. market.

The company effectively uses these foreign markets to test new products to offer the global consumer a more diverse range of menu options.

One customer that McDonald's particularly focused on is millennials, the generation that is coming of age during the digital revolution. With taste preferences shifting towards healthier options and more complex flavors within this group, Thompson said that new items like the wraps and smoothies added to the new menu were key in meeting these new demands. "Tastes have been changing and it's just that we as McDonald's have continued to evolve," he said.

N.J. girls murder video

N.J. girls murder video, the two N.J. girls made a murder video in which they rattled off the names of students and school administration members that they'd like to kill. On April 25, CBS News reported that the two 12-year-old girls from Paterson, N.J. have gotten suspended from school and could face criminal charges. Several people were named in the video and police are currently investigating.

"Parents said they can’t understand why the school didn’t do something sooner, so on Thursday they met with officials at School 27, a meeting even Paterson Mayor Jeffrey Jones showed up to. When asked afterward he said he didn’t believe there was ever a serious threat to any students," CBS News reported.

The N.J. girls' murder video has plenty of parents concerned -- mainly those who's children's names are heard on the "hit list." It is scary to think about children murdering children but in this day and age, things like this cannot be taken lightly. It is one thing for a couple of teens to say that they don't like some of their classmates and/or teachers, but for them to say they want to kill them -- or that they are going to kill them? That's unacceptable.

N.J. girls murder video

The girls even described how they would murder the people on their list saying things like, "Stab him continuously in this area."

Should the N.J. girls who made the murder video be charged?

Player dies snake bite-Player dies snake bite

Player dies snake bite-Player dies snake bite, A field hockey player has died after he was bitten by a venomous king brown snake in Australia’s tropical Northern Territory and then went for a run.

According To Washingtonpost. Fairfax Newspapers reported Friday that 26-year-old Karl Berry was cleaning up at Marrara Hockey Centre in Darwin on Tuesday when he picked up a snake. He thought it was a nonvenomous python and threw it into the bushes.

Berry was bitten on the hand but did not realize the bite was poisonous and went on a 1.2-mile training run before collapsing.

St. John’s Ambulance operations manager Craig Garraway was quoted as saying Berry was conscious when paramedics arrived. But he took up to 15 minutes to mention the bite. Berry, captain of the Commerce-Pints team, died Wednesday.

Garraway said the run pumped the venom around his system faster.

Hines Ward threat

Hines Ward threat, A man who pleaded guilty to trying to extort $15,000 from former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Hines Ward will spend two years on probation.

According To businessweek. Joshua Van Auker, 26, pleaded guilty Tuesday in front of an Allegheny County judge to a lesser version of the original charge of attempted theft by threatening to expose a secret, court records showed.

Ward's assistant, Raymond Burgess, contacted authorities last fall after Van Auker sent him a text message claiming to have damaging information. Detectives with the Allegheny County district attorney's office investigated and determined that Van Auker decided to make the demands after learning his girlfriend "had been involved in a prior physical relationship with Ward," according to a criminal complaint.

The woman was not identified in the complaint, and authorities never described the information Van Auker claimed to have or said whether it was even true. A district attorney's spokesman didn't immediately comment Friday.

Burgess went to investigators, the complaint said, and afterward spoke again with Van Auker, who repeated the extortion demand by saying, "It's called buying silence, brother". Detectives watching that encounter in October arrested Van Auker.

Burgess has said an envelope Van Auker gave him purporting to contain the damaging information contained only papers, not pictures, but Burgess has declined to otherwise describe its contents. Ward's manager, Andrew Ree, has said then that the extortion attempt was "the act of a desperate individual trying to get money from a celebrity." Ree didn't immediately respond to a request for comment Friday.

Van Auker didn't answer a cellphone number Friday used to contact him last year. The man who answered the phone said he had loaned Van Auker the phone last year but doesn't currently know how to reach him.

The attorney who represented Van Auker after his arrest last year, David Shrager, said he had no part in the plea bargain. He said he thought prosecutors "gave the kid a good deal."

When Van Auker was arrested, Shrager described his client as "naive and inexperienced" and apologized that Ward's name was dragged through the mud.

"Hines Ward's an essential part of Pittsburgh history. ... He's a great guy," Shrager said at the time.

Ward, 36, retired last year after 14 seasons with the Steelers. He had 1,000 catches for 12,021 yards, both franchise records, and was MVP of the Super Bowl XL, which the Steelers won in 2006.

Ward is now a commentator for NBC Sports and continues to be a marketable presence in Pittsburgh, where he has owned businesses and still appears on television commercials.

N.J. girls murder video - Video

N.J. girls murder video - Video, The 12-year-old students recently posted a clip that listed all of the people they wanted to kill. One girl filmed the threats while the other named all of the individuals on their list. The New Jersey girls have been suspended from School 27 and the YouTube video was removed on Thursday.

The 20-minute video reportedly include a complete list of classmates and school administrators the girls would like to murder. The pair laugh at various points in the clip. Reported

“Wouldn’t you guys think I’d be the best assassin ever. I have special killing thingies for different people.” one of the N.J. girls says in the “murder list” video. She later explains how she would stab one of her targets to death.

Parents have been understandably outraged by the video. Angelica Marrero explained to CBS Local that her daughter wake up in the middle of the night in terror.

“My daughter, she woke up about four times last night, to lock the doors. She woke up with nightmares,” she explained. “We’re concerned parents here — the child obviously needs help.”

Many parents were upset that school officials didn’t address the situation sooner. During a special meeting at School 27 on Thursday, Mayor Jeffrey Jones said that he didn’t believe that the girls posed a serious threat to students and faculty.

Mayor Jones explained to the concerned parents:

“I’ve not been given any specific details, but all indications are no. It’s serious enough for us to have this investigated, especially because of the current climate we’re in. Let’s hope that it was just frustrations and emotions and they didn’t mean anything, but we can’t sit back and just hope.”

It’s currently believed that the girls could face several charges as a result of the video they uploaded to YouTube. However, police have yet to comment on the situation as of this writing.

Obama $7,750 golf bag

Obama $7,750 golf bag, President Barack Obama received a Hermes golf bag valued at $7,750 (£5,000) from former French president Nicolas Sarkozy and rug with an eagle and US flag embroidered on it from Prime Minister David Cameron.

The US State Department released a list of presents given to Obama by foreign governments or dignitaries in 2011, revealing an Aladdin’s cave of gifts, ranging from the modest to the lavish. Reported

Several items reflected Obama’s fondness for golf.

Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy gave Obama a Hermes golf accessory bag valued at $7,750 (£5,000), as well as Baccarat crystal statuettes depicting golfers at play. In all, the Sarkozys gave the Obamas $41,675.71 in gifts that year alone.

German chancellor Angela Merkel’s gifts to Obama included a golf putter as well as a training console.....

Mr and Mrs Cameron’s rug gift was valued at $1,400. The Prime Minister and his wife also gave the Obama family two “silver Links Sweetie Bracelet” – one with an “M” charm and one with an “S”, presumably for Malia and Sasha, Mr and Mrs Obama’s daughters.

When Mr Cameron visited Mr Obama in Washington last year, he gave the president a table tennis table. Downing Street had insisted that the “truly British” product was a fitting gift in the run up to the London 2012 Olympics.
Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper tapped into Obama’s interest in hoops, giving him a basketball signed by members of the Toronto Raptors team.

Australian prime minister Julia Gillard’s gifts included a specially designed red, white and blue Australian rules shirt with “USA Revolution” on the front.

Other gifts to Obama were more formal, including a 48-inch bronze statue of Abraham Lincoln by the artist Yuan Xikun given by former Chinese president Hu Jintao, valued at $9,800.

All federal employees in the United States must declare gifts from foreign governments or organisations with gifts to the president or the first family turned over to the National Archives.

New Corvette $52,000

New Corvette $52,000, General Motors (GM) said Friday that a base model of the 2014 Corvette Stingray will start at just under $52,000.

The 2014 Corvette goes on sale this summer. The latest version was completely redone, and shares only two parts with the current model, which is nine years old.

General Motors (GM) said Friday that a base model of the 2014 Corvette Stingray will start at just under $52,000.

Considering everything that GM put into the newest Corvette, the $1,400 price increase over the current model seems pretty modest.

The 2014 Corvette goes on sale this summer. The latest version was completely redone, and shares only two parts with the current model, which is nine years old.

Dealers say customers already are putting down deposits.

"Every day you have someone coming in wanting to know about the new Corvette," says Bill Perkins, owner of two Chevrolet dealerships in the Detroit suburbs. "You have a lot of enthusiasts out there. You have a lot of people that have purchased Corvettes before. A lot of people come in wanting to know the price, how soon they can get one."

A $1,400 increase is "not that much of a change when you look at everything that's happened to the car," said John Fitzpatrick, marketing manager for Chevrolet performance cars.

The car performs similar to a Porsche 911, yet a comparably equipped 911 would cost $100,000, Fitzpatrick said.

Ex-Braves pitcher dies

Ex-Braves pitcher dies, Rick Camp, a former pitcher for the Atlanta Braves, was found dead earlier this week. He was 60.

RYDAL, Ga.—Former Atlanta Braves pitcher Rick Camp was found dead in his northwest Georgia home Thursday morning. The 60-year-old Camp was found at his home in Rydal, about 55 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, said Bartow County coroner Joel Guyton. Authorities were unclear Thursday on Camp’s cause of death..reported

Camp played with the Braves from 1976 to 1985 and went 56-49 with a 3.37 ERA in 65 starts and 349 relief appearances. The Trion, Ga., native is perhaps best remembered for his tying 18th-inning homer off Tom Gorman on July 4, 1985, a game that ended with the New York Mets winning 16-13 in the 19th inning.

Camp entered the game with a .060 career batting average and no home runs in 167 previous at-bats. Camphit because the Braves had no one left to bat for him except other pitchers.

“If this team needs me to hit a home run to win a game, they’re in trouble,” Camp said.

That was the only big league homer by Camp, who finished with a .074 average (13 for 175).

The game went until 3:55 a.m. on July 5, and was followed by a fireworks display for the approximately 8,000 still left from an original crowd of 44,947.

“I’ll never forget this one,” the Braves’ Dale Murphy said after the game.

Murphy tweeted Thursday, “Will miss friend and teammate Rick Camp. Sad news. RIP Rick. Good memories. I join with all (at)Braves family/fans w prayers to the Camp family.”

Camp was released by the Braves just before the start of the 1986 season.

He became a lobbyist, was indicted by a federal grand jury and sentenced in 2005 to three years in prison for conspiring to steal more than $2 million from a mental health agency.

He was sentenced along with four others, including former state Rep. Robin Williams, who was ordered to serve 10 years.

Bynes shaves half head

Bynes shaves half head, Amanda Bynes has gone the way of Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and Charlize Theron, and shaved (part of) her head.

The actress, 27, took to Twitter to share photos of her daring new 'do on Thursday. I buzzed half my head like @cassie!" Amanda Tweeted, referencing the hip-hop singer best known for her 2006 hit "Me & U" (and hanging out with Diddy). "No more old photos! This is the new me! I love it!..reported

She later added a second selfie of half of her face, where the buzzed portion of her hair can be clearly seen.
The former Nickelodeon star didn't offer an explanation as to why she opted for the drastic change, but a few weeks ago, she complained about a hairstylist from Bergdorf Goodman's John Barrett Salon.

"I had to shave my head because of hair damage from someone @ John Barrett," she Tweeted at the time. "So I'm not loving my paparazzi pics for a few years! I have extensions but you can see them! "

Player dies snake bite

Player dies snake bite, A field hockey player has died after being bitten by a venomous king brown snake in Australia's tropical north and proceeding to go for a two-kilometre training run.

Fairfax Newspapers reported Friday that 26-year-old Karl Berry was cleaning up at Marrara Hockey Centre in Darwin, Northern Territory, on Tuesday when he picked up a snake, thinking it was a non-venomous python, and threw it into bushes...reported

Berry, captain of the Commerce-Pints hockey team, was bitten on the hand but did not realize the bite was poisonous and embarked on a run.

He later collapsed and Craig Garraway, St John's Ambulance operations manager, was quoted as saying Berry was conscious when paramedics arrived, but took up to 15 minutes to mention he had been bitten by a snake. He died Wednesday.

"He had gone for a two-kilometre run which pumped the venom around his system much faster," Garraway said.

Birdman gave Lil Wayne a Chopard watch

Birdman gave Lil Wayne a Chopard watch, The moment one pictures the lifestyle and dressing sense of rap stars, the word ‘bling’ and ‘flash’ comes almost instantly.

Whichever way possible, the performers of the hip-hop don’t seem to get enough of jive talk, and ‘blinged’ stuff around them. One of the prominent names, Lil’ Wayne had indeed in the news for some of this ‘flash’ memorabilia, which seems to have become a regular part of his celebrations..reported

One perhaps wouldn’t forget the Diamond studded 27th birthday cake, and the $1 million cash in briefcase for his 28th birthday either.

Looks like Weezy loved his 27th birthday presents so much, that the gift line-up at his 29th birthday seems pretty similar, with a diamond studded birthday cake yet again, and a limited edition Audemars Piguet watch (than a Chopard's luxury watch last time around) apart from a red Bugatti Veyron, from his father, ‘Birdman’.

Standing approximately 4 feet tall, this cake has been dressed in red and silver plates which have diamonds engraved on to them. Wouldn’t get to know how much of it is edible, but a large portion of it is engulfed by the diamond studded plates wishing the star ‘Happy Birthday’, and also the name of the music label YMCMB, and ‘Weezy’ on a skateboard, which balances the cake.

Lil Wayne, who is also addressed by the name ‘Birdman Jr.’ after his father, was only too glad, and looking at the end, we might see some more of it coming his way in times to come.Lil Wayne wasn’t also the first to do such a thing.

LeBron James (seen above), a few years ago, indulged in a similar fashion by producing a Swarovski studded birthday cake with a golden crown. Looks flashy, tempting and rather attractive, but should you want to eat some of it, might be in for a shock looking at all the bling floating on them.

Kat Von D bought Deadmau5 a Porsche Carrera

Kat Von D bought Deadmau5 a Porsche Carrera, Jesse James, eat your heart out. The motorcycle mogul’s former fiancée, Kat Von D, has not only moved on to someone else, DJ and music producer Deadmau5 (pronounced “dead mouse,” for those not up on the world of electronic house music), but just showed the world how much she loves her new fiancé.

“I can't think of anyone who deserves this anymore than Joel,” Von D wrote on her Instagram page on Monday, where she posted a pic of her very happy main squeeze sitting inside a brand new Porsche 911 Carrera S accessorized with a bow..reported

Sounds like the heavily inked 30-year-old has amassed quite a bit of savings from her reality show “LA Ink,” which ended in 2011, and her famous tattoo shop.

The Carrera S starts at a whopping $96,400 (and reaches a top track speed of 188 miles per hour, perfect for swerving around L.A. rush-hour traffic). But if you look at the Instagram photo, there’s another big-ticket vehicle in the garage in the form of a new Bentley (which doesn’t even have license plates yet). Because the couple that drives fast together stays together!

Speaking of staying together, while Von D and Zimmerman should still be in the honeymoon phase, considering they only got together in September, it seems there was trouble in paradise right away.

Back on November 10, the two announced their relationship was kaput. Von D, of course, kept everyone all up to date via Twitter with multiple posts that day, which had many guessing her 31-year-old beau had cheated on her. “Man, I sure was wrong. But at least he made it a no-brainer to break that off. #lessonlearned,” one tweet read. “Now, we can get all of the ‘I told you so’s’ outta the way … And move on,” went another. And finally: “Clarification: Deadmau5 and I are no longer together.”

Zimmerman took to Twitter as well the same day to take the blame: “It happened too fast, i lost my balance and fell into a familiar dark place that im having difficulty with. She deserves someone stronger,” he wrote.

But, thankfully, the breakup was only temporary and on December 17, the couple announced their engagement via ... you guessed it! Twitter!

So why drop $100,000 on a car for a guy who clearly did something bad enough to make her break up with him? Well, Kat Von D seems to be the type who follows her heart a little too quickly. This is the same woman who had ex Jesse James’ face tattooed on her ribcage after being with the admitted cheater for less than a year. ”Years down the road when we're all old and wrinkly we'll be able to look at that tattoo and remember that time I surprised him,” she said at the time on her reality show, which filmed the procedure.

A short time later she discovered James was cheating on her. Come to think of it, it sticking with Porsches over permanent tattoos probably seems like a good idea from now on.

Diddy gave his son a silver Maybach worth $360,000

Diddy gave his son a silver Maybach worth $360,000, Some parents give a new or used car to their fortunate child when they turn age 16, but hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs took it to a whole new level. Now, months later, he is explaining why.

The wealthy hip-hop entertainer, producer and trend-setter was asked on ABC's Nightline about how he came to give a silver Maybach worth about $360,000 to 16-year-old son Justin Dior Combs as a birthday present in January. For those who may have forgotten, Maybach is the mega-expensive version of Daimler's Mercedes-Benz...reported

Diddy's explanation, excerpted on ABC's website, is pretty much that he just felt like doing it. The question throws him on the defense.

"I think it's appropriate to give my kids whatever I want to give my kids," he said. "I feel the way I raise my children, I don't have to explain to you or anyone else, 'cause nobody knows the way I raise my children. So nobody knows the lessons that I've taught my children to understand, if they are mentally ready for that."

The interview drills the point even further, pressing Diddy on whether the lavish car might have sent the wrong message about money:

"It wasn't even about a lesson; it's what I wanted to do," he said. "I could do whatever I want to do and you can't question me about it."

Um, OK, we won't question you. But we're wondering whether Diddy may have set the standard a bit too high considering that he has six kids by three different mothers. That's a lot of Maybachs.

Of course, Diddy has always had his own distinctive style, especially when it comes to names. He has was previously P Diddy, Puff Daddy and Puffy before simply becoming Diddy. You can see the entire Nightline video segment which aired Thursday on Combs here.

Diddy didn't stop with the new car when it came to celebrating his son's birthday in style. He threw young Justin a party at New York hot spot M2 Ultralounge and kicked in $10,000 for some around-town spending money, reported Us Magazine at the time. Justin said at the time he was going to donate it all to Haiti earthquake relief.

The party definitely made an impression. "I'm just ecstatic right now," Justin told UsMagazine.com at his party. "Words can't even describe how I feel."

Diddy is certainly known for traveling in exclusive circles, but did he go too far this time?

Jennifer Lopez bought Casper Smart a Dodge Ram

Jennifer Lopez bought Casper Smart a Dodge Ram, I just spent several minutes looking through Casper Smart’s Twitter feed, and I wish I could get that time back. It’s not that Casper is a raging moron – he’s not, actually. He’s just a 25 year old backup dancer who has hitched his wagon to the diva train.

He tweets stuff like, “Just got finished watching “Immortals” I loved it.. So good! I wanna b In a movie like that.  ” Translation: “My girlfriend works in Hollywood, she’ll get me a part in a movie like that, because she loves me.” Speaking of Jennifer taking care of her facially-challenged boy-toy, Casper celebrated his 25th birthday on Friday. Jennifer bought him a truck. Because why not?.reported

Jennifer Lopez celebrated her dancer beau Casper Smart’s 25th birthday on Friday with an intimate dinner party – and quite a big surprise.

“Jennifer had planned a fun day to celebrate Casper’s birthday,” a source tells PEOPLE. And the day began with a four-wheeled birthday present: a customized white Dodge Ram truck.

Lopez “knew that Casper really wanted a truck, and Casper was very excited about the generous gift,” says the source.

Lopez also Tweeted: “@BEAUcasperSMART ‘Beau has a birthday we’re so glad we hope it[']s the happiest Birthday Beau ever has!’ #singingtweet. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAR!!!”

After a shopping trip and lunch in Beverly Hills, the couple continued the birthday celebration with a fun dinner at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood.

With a group of friends, they enjoyed Northern Italian comfort food, including pasta, fish and wine in the restaurant’s private Butterfly Room.

The birthday boy even brought his present along for the celebration. “Casper was so excited about his new truck that he decided to drive it to dinner,” adds the source. “She was smiling about Casper’s excitement.”

ennifer has an endorsement deal with Fiat, so I’m a little bit surprised she didn’t just “get” Casper some freebie Fiat car for his birthday. Casper must have specially requested a Dodge Ram.

A lot of dudes drive those trucks in my little Southern town – so I always associate those giant pickup trucks with rednecks. In defense of rednecks, they often have to haul some pretty heavy stuff, which is why the Dodge Ram comes in handy.

It’s utilitarian! It’s also a pretty sweet ride, although it’s a bitch to manipulate yourself into the cab, you know? And I can’t see Jennifer deigning to ride in a Dodge Ram. Ever. So while Casper got his truck, he’s still going to have to drive Jennifer around in HER car (a Bentley?).

Britney Spears gave Kevin Federline a $150,000 Jacob & Co. watch

Britney Spears gave Kevin Federline a $150,000 Jacob & Co. watch, One big happy ... Britney Spears was photographed watching her sons' soccer game with ex-husband Kevin Federline Sunday in California.

The 31-year-old pop singer appeared at ease (and a little more appropriately dressed) around her former husband of three years, who is also father to their children, Sean and Jayden. Federline also brought girlfriend Victoria Prince and their 1-year-old daughter Jordan to the match..reported

Since announcing her split from former manager and longtime boyfriend Jason Trawick in January, Spears has been seen quickly moving on with 27-year-old David Lucado.

Scooter Braun gave Bieber a 2012 Fisker Karma worth $100,000

Scooter Braun gave Bieber a 2012 Fisker Karma worth $100,000,  Sources now tell TMZ that Justin Bieber did not give pal Sean Kingston his car, simply loaning it to him instead, and that the Fisker Karma is back in Bieber’s garage. C’est la vie.

Justin Bieber has got so much swag, he’s now giving it away — literally. The 18-year-old pop star has gifted friend Sean Kingston with his chrome-plated Fisker Karma hybrid (which itself was a birthday present to Biebs, from manager Scooter Braun). reported

“When you’re best friends with one of the biggest artists in the world, you get all different types of gifts. And this is one of them,” Kingston told TMZ. He also said that Bieber planned on getting the new Fisker Karma when it came out.

The tradition of giving cars to friends isn’t anything new in Hollywood, of course. Kim Kardashian recently bequeathed boyfriend Kanye West with a reported $750,000 Lamborghini for his 35th birthday, while Jennifer Lopez dropped off a customized Dodge Ram pickup truck for beau Casper Smart’s 25th birthday.

Katie Holmes birthday party at FAO Schwarz

Katie Holmes birthday party at FAO Schwarz, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes greeted the season in style Thursday in New York, as they celebrated her birthday with dinner, a private trip to the FAO Schwarz toy store – where Tom entertained with handstands – and a late-night ice-skating adventure in the rain, PEOPLE reports exclusively.

While Holmes spent the day shopping at such Madison Avenue boutiques as Barneys, Donna Karen, Ralph Lauren, Miu Miu and Chloe, her husband-to-be didn't come out of the hotel until dinner time, whereupon he scored high marks with the bartender at the Post House steakhouse – despite the fact that, as a Scientologist, Tom doesn't imbibe..reported

He seems like a regular guy," the bartender tells PEOPLE. "He was very nice."

After the midtown feast with a group of about a dozen people, Holmes's pre-birthday celebration (she turns 27 on Sunday) continued at Fifth Avenue institution FAO Schwarz, which was closed to the public by the time the Cruise contingent arrived around 9:30 p.m. The toy store was ready for them, too: festooned with balloons tied to small white tiger dolls and 7'-tall stuffed giraffes.

But the real show was put on by Tom and his pregnant fiancée, with both of them performing on top of the store's giant piano – jumping, bouncing, trying to tickle out a tune on the ivories. At one point, Tom did a handstand.

Katie must have approved: She clapped and laughed before the couple embraced and shared a long, 30-second kiss.

The emporium also had a surprise in store of the birthday girl: cupcakes with candles, which she blew out with Tom's help. The party then moved downstairs, near the videogame area, and by 11:30 p.m., the pair were ready to move on, thanks to a caravan of four SUVs.

But the night wasn't over. Despite some nasty rain with some sleet thrown in, Tom and Katie took to Central Park's Wollman Rink (the same one that King Kong and Naomi Watts use onscreen in the new movie epic) and skated, in between hugging and kissing.

They remained on the ice for about half an hour, after which Katie took refuge inside while Tom continued to skate a little longer. Around 12:30 a.m., the group left the park and returned to the hotel – hopefully to get the mom-to-be into some dry clothes.

Paltrow humiliated

George Jones dies

George Jones dies, George Jones, the man with perhaps the most distinctive and iconic voice in country music, died on Friday in Nashville at the age of eighty-one.

In the first moments after the news broke, thousands of people reached the same conclusion at the same time, a nice instance of hive-mind solidarity, and the Spotify and YouTube tracking numbers will surely reveal a massive spike for his song “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” which is one of the great sad songs in the American songbook, written by Bobby Braddock and Curly Putman..reported

Jones took it to No. 1 on the country charts in 1980. Great artists are always preparing us for their deaths, giving us, through their careers, the tools with which to remember them. But rarely is a song so apt. “He Stopped Loving Her Today” is the ur-country story song, about a man who’d never gotten over his broken heart. The man kept a picture of his old flame by his bed, and her old letters, where he’d underlined “Every single ‘I love you.’ ” The man had lived in torment, released only by death. The chorus goes like this:

He stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
And soon they’ll carry him away
He stopped loving her today.
The words are fine, but they don’t do the song, or Jones, much justice. His voice was the source of envy, and sometimes envious parody, among his peers. In its most notable and glorious movement, his voice bent and twanged like the sound an old saw makes when you give it a shake. He found vowels in words where no one had ever seen them before. Other pop singers have possessed what is often called “an instrument,” but Jones’s voice was the closest to making this expression real: it was a thing, like a reliable tool dusted off in an old shed, smooth in places, rough in others. It was like honey that had caught a few specks of dirt.

“He Stopped Loving Her Today” came along at a time when Jones really needed it. It had been six years since he’d had a No. 1 hit, and he’d spent most of those, and the ones before it, mired in bouts of brutal, destructive, and massively anti-social alcoholism. Booze ruined his first marriage, and gave the world the notorious tale of how Jones, his car keys hidden by his wife, once left home on a riding lawn mower to put-put down the highway to a liquor store. At his worst, Jones could be a country-music caricature. Later, he made a cruel mess of the nineteen-seventies: alcohol and cocaine left him broke. The stories of Jones’s drunken antics are legion, and while their hard-living, hard-loving particulars might inspire a bit of awe (and gave him cred with rock and punk artists), just ask the women in his life what it was like to live with him. Yet, even in some of his lowest personal moments, Jones created great, signature music. He recorded “Bartender’s Blues,” written by James Taylor, in 1978. His rendering of the chorus, with its “four walls around me to hold my life,” may be the best expression of his incredible vocal gifts—despair and joy fighting out their eternal battle.

The recording sessions for “He Stopped Loving Her Today” took a long time, and were contentious. Jones was capricious and unreliable—other words for saying that he was a drunk. He never liked his nicknames. “Possum” disparaged his middling looks. “No Show Jones” impugned his reliability and professionalism. Both were unkind, and both were deserved. He idolized Hank Williams, and it seemed like he was bound to follow him to an early grave. Yet “He Stopped Loving Her Today” was a hit, and three years later, at rock bottom, Jones quit the drinking and drugs, and lived on for three more decades, making music, recording too many albums, lending his golden voice to innumerable duets. He was Nashville royalty, name-checked by every young country singer with any sense. He’d been married to his third wife, Nancy, for those thirty years. In the end, he wasn’t the lonely, regretful man in his most famous song.

Jones’s songs lifted country-music aphorisms to a kind of high art, and his life and now death seem to demand aphorism as well, something blunt and simple like: George Jones was an imperfect man with a perfect voice. He lived like a devil and sang like an angel. Well, sure, but let’s skip that. There have been more interesting country singers, better musicians, and songwriters that have left a more indelible stamp on the genre. George Jones was, like Frank Sinatra, a gunslinger for hire—and he probably recorded as many bad songs as he did good ones. But let’s say, for today, that the good ones won out, and the best are the best there are: sad songs (“Things Have Gone to Pieces”) love songs (“Golden Ring,” with his longtime duet partner Tammy Wynette, who was also his wife and then his ex-wife), funny songs (“The Race Is On”), and silly songs (“The One I Loved Back Then”).

It’s barely after noon on the east coast, probably too early for a whiskey. But later, if you’ve got a moment, pour a couple of fingers and cue up some George. I’d start with one of his earliest hits, “Tender Years,” which was recorded in 1961 but may have been the best thing he ever did. George Jones outran and outlived his shadow for half a decade. He lived a long time. But his best songs are short. “Tender Years” runs at 2:28; you may want to set it on repeat.

Facebook friend $174.17

Facebook friend $174.17, Being a Facebook friend is worth $174.17, according to a new research study released this week.

The research results has suggested that every time someone "Likes" or "Friends" a brand or a business with their Facebook account, that action is worth approximately $174.17 to that brand, which is a 28 percent increase since just 2010..reported

The study was conducted by social intelligence company Syncapse, and analyzed more than 2,000 Facebook users who had "Liked" a brand. The study also took into account other factors such as product spending, loyalty, propensity to recommend, media value acquisition cost and brand affinity. Tying in all these factors the study sought to determine the equivalent monetary value of a Facebook fan, according to Live Science.

It is widely recognized that people spend more money on the companies and brands that they have "Liked" on Facebook, however, it has also been found that people generally spend 43 percent more money in that brand's sector as well than someone else who has not "Liked" any brand in that sector.

The study also advises brand managers to interact with their Facebook followers as much as possible to try and understand what they are passionate about, and gain their precious feedback and input.

Many people who "Like" brands do so to express their thoughts on it, and share their brand experiences with others; potentially helping the company to tap into the lucrative "word of mouth" market.

When brands offer promotions and discounts they will also spread these to friends easier, bringing even more attention to the brand. However, things work both ways, the study warns, and they are also just as likely to report bad brand experiences to friends if things do not go well.

The report states: "The increase in average fan value is driven by fans' tendencies to be super-consumers. Not only do they tend to be brand users first, they spend more, engage more, advocate more and are more loyal. The significant and increasing value of a Facebook brand fan affirms past social marketing investment and mandates deeper commitment and accountability in the future."

Jennifer Aniston's wedding

Jennifer Aniston's wedding, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are unable to agree on the type of ceremony they want to have this spring. While Jennifer would like something grand, Justin is hoping for a smaller affair.

Despite 44-year-old Jennifer’s disparate wishes, she is said to be “relaxed” about planning the occasion, as she is not looking forward to the hard work..reported

“Jen and Justin have been totally relaxed about the wedding planning. They're looking forward to the wedding, but they have different ideas about the actual wedding itself,” a friend told Mail Online.

“It's not to do with them as a couple, they're madly in love. Every time you see them they've got their arms around each other. Jen wants something bigger with all their friends, Justin would just like something a bit more intimate.”

Now she can expect to marry the 41-year-old later on in the summer while she focusses on work commitments.

She recently unveiled her TV movie Call Me Crazy: A Five Film, a project she produced about mental illness.

“At this point, we're expecting the wedding to be at the end of the summer, just before Labor Day Weekend,” the insider continued.

Justin proposed to Jennifer last summer after more than a year of dating.

Prior to that she was married to actor Brad Pitt for five years but they divorced in 2005.

Courteney Cox gave Jen Aniston a Chanel bicycle

Courteney Cox gave Jen Aniston a Chanel bicycle, Obviously those pictures of Jennifer Aniston with the teeny, tiny little belly (and great legs) with the associated baby bump speculation have gotten her worried about her figure – she’s taken up cycling, with a little help from Courteney Cox.

Courteney Cox has bought Jennifer Aniston a $12,000 Chanel bicycle. The actress bought her ‘Friends’ pal the expensive pushbike after she expressed an interest taking up cycling...reported

A source close to the star said: “Jennifer said she wanted to start bike riding because it’s such good exercise. So Courteney sent her the new, ultra-chic Chanel bicycle.”

The bike features eight speeds, weighs 36lbs and comes complete with a quilted leather seat and saddlebag emblazoned with the famous Chanel ‘CC’ logo.

The source continued: “Courteney only sent Jennifer the bike two weeks ago but she already loves it! She goes out riding all the time.”

Sydney Morning Herald

Some friends are better than others – pun intended. Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston seem to have a friendship that is going to last for all their lives, which is a very valuable thing. Perhaps even more valuable than a Chanel bike.

Who even knew Chanel made bikes? Do they make those horrid bike pants from the 90s still? I would love to ride around town on my Hello Kitty bike (jealous of my wheels?) with a big linked C on my behind. That would be very attractive indeed.

In other Jen news, it seems that the whole world is speculating that she is either devastated about Angelina Jolie’s pregnancy, or it doesn’t matter to her. I’m leaning on the side of not caring, since she’s probably had three years and four other children to get used to the whole concept of ‘my ex-husband has a family with someone else’.

I’m sure she read the news and felt a little pang of regret or sadness, because that is only human, but somehow I can’t imagine Jen sobbing in a corner. Her life seems pretty good to me – particularly if those Jason Lewis rumours are true.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with their kids

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with their kids, They are heralded for their dedication to humanitarian efforts and known for being loyal environmentalists.

But Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have now come under fire for allegedly 'causing environmental damage' to a picturesque Californian coastline...reported

The couple have been slammed by angry Santa Barbara locales after the Fight Club star was pictured teaching his children how to ride motorcross and quad bikes on a beach last Easter.

Father-of-six Brad, who owns a coastal ranch next to Gaviota State Park with his movie star partner, was seen showing his large brood how to burn rubber as the family spent some time having fun on Easter Sunday earlier this year.

But their adventure-filled day out has now been deemed 'dangerous', 'irresponsible' and even 'illegal' by residents of the coastal town.

According to some Santa Barbara locals who told Radaronline.com, the four and two-wheeled vehicles are prohibited from the beach.

'I am not sure if it is illegal to drive on the beach in Santa Barbara County but it is certainly reprehensible,' one neighbour told the website.

'It is massively damaging to the environment and we’d hope the people who own houses on the shoreline acted more responsibly.'

Mike Lunsford, president of the Gaviota Coast Conservancy, told Radaronline that only lifeguards or other rescue vehicles are privy to maneuver those types of vehicles on the beach.

'It’s a rare gem, the Gaviota coastline — and there’s not many places left in the world like it,' he said.On state beaches, only lifeguard or rescue vehicles can drive on them. I saw the pictures, I wasn’t surprised, he probably didn’t know it was against the law. But he shouldn’t be doing it.'

While the beach in question is state property, Lunsford claims that he has heard from other neighbours who claim that the couple treat the area as their own, with their security team allegedly often 'bullying' other residents.
'I’ve heard of neighbors complaining about being bullied off the state beaches,' he told the website.

'I think they have some over-zealous security people who have legitimate concerns about their safety and paparazzi invading their privacy… but there have been incidents where people have been just going for hike and one friend was rudely accosted.'

Another neighbour also complained to the website, claiming that the Hollywood power couple have often tried to steer people away from the area.

'Neighbors have all complained because Brad started trying to keep them off the beach below his house there. This is a beach that is everyone’s and they’ve enjoyed it for years,' the source claimed.

'Brad Putt treats neighbors as if it is his beach now and he’s been bullying everyone. He’s pi**ed them all off. Maybe it’s time that Mr. Pitt gets a visit from the county.'

According to a source at the Santa Barbara County Council, the beaches are 'a protected habitat' and 'are owned by the public below the knee high tide line.'

The furore surrounding the family's treatment of the beach, comes after the Seven star was playing doting dad to his children last month.

Brad, 49, was the leader of the pack as he sat behind the wheel of a four-seater all-terrain vehicle in Santa Barbara and took it for a spin on the sand.

Four-year-old Knox may have been too young to get his own driving license but that didn't stop him learning the ropes from his famous father as he sat with his hands on the steering wheel.
Knox took pride of place on Brad's lap as the two cruised up and down the beach enjoying the bonding time in the amber-coloured vehicle.

While the Mr And Mrs Smith actor was giving some one on one tuition to one of his twins, his other boys were doing alright by themselves.

Maddox, 11, and Pax, eight, were obviously born to be wild as they made their own little biker gang.
The two brothers took their motocross bikes for a ride as Brad and Knox chose the slightly more comfortable choice of transportation.

It was safety first for the clan, however, as Brad wore a seat belt and his two eldest boys both had on helmets.
As the boys played with their toys, sisters Shiloh and Zahara were content simply with hanging out on the sand and entertaining themselves with their imagination.

Brad was on daddy duty as there was no sign of Angelina, who had recently returned from a mission in Rwanda.
MailOnline have contacted Mr. Pitt's representatives in regards to the claims and are still awaiting a response.

Brad Pitt bought Angelina Jolie a MV Agusta motorcycle

Brad Pitt bought Angelina Jolie a MV Agusta motorcycle, ANGELINA JOLIE recently received an MV Agusta from her partner Brad Pitt for the actress' 35th birthday and revealed he's teaching her to ride the stylish Italian machine.

The Oscar-winner was handed the machine by Pitt at a birthday party at the couple's house in Los Feliz, California. Jolie told the Mail on Sunday about her new ride: "I'm not sure what cc it is but I can tell you it's a proper bike and it's powerful..reported

I used to have a bike years ago, but I hadn't owned one for a long time. Brad's a really good teacher - he's really patient. I'm very impatient so I can wreck a bike if I'm not careful. Sometimes we'll go on the track together and there you can go really fast and let your hair down."

Pitt was set to make a cameo appearance as a mystery motorcycle rider in Jolie's new film 'Salt'. Pitt, however, was busy elsewhere, looking after the couple's entourage of kids:

"He was almost going to be the motorcycle guy that I knocked down and then he'd call me a bad name, "said Jolie. "But he was with the kids that day, and we couldn't work it out."
