Amaze the kids with Wild Wonders

Amaze the kids with Wild Wonders, Dutton Island Preserve in Atlantic Beach is host to an up-close-and-personal animal show that is great for kids and adults alike. The show is free--just show up and have a seat at one of the picnic benches under the canopy at the preserve.

The hour-long show includes storytelling, and demonstrations such as that of the "turtle dance," the natural choreography of turtle romance.

Stars of the show include live animals, both furry and scaly. From box turtles to boa constrictors, ferrets to bunnies, the animals take the stage. While learning about the creatures' habits and lifestyles, there's also the opportunity to touch, pet, hold and feed the animals.

Remaining shows for the year will be held on various Saturdays at 11:00 a.m., with the next events scheduled for May 11, May 18, June 1 and June 15.

For more information, check the City of Atlantic Beach website or call (904) 247-5828.
