Amanda Knox couldn't resist contacting victim's family

Amanda Knox couldn't resist contacting victim's family, Reportedly couldn't resist herself and attempted to contact the Kercher family after the brutal murder of their daughter, but her attorneys advised against it. On April 28, 2013 Mirror News and a variety of other sources shared the details of the little note she intended to send -- but instead published in her "memoir."

"I'm sorry for your loss," she wrote. "I'm not the one who killed your daughter and sister. I think about her every day."

The Italian High Court appears to disagree with Knoxy's claims that she "didn't do it," and that's why the appeal of her original conviction has been overturned -- wiped clean as if it never happened. She is facing a new trial that will either end in her being convicted of murder or innocent in the eyes of the law. Even though Amanda Knox has previously promised to cooperate with Italian officials, her tune has changed. She is, after all, busy with her book tour here in the ever-sympathetic United States and does not have time to answer to the crime she might have committed.

It's fortunate that she never actually sent the note to the family of Meredith Kercher, not because it'd make her look guilty but because it'd really be a waste of their time and emotions. These people are in a permanent state of despair over what happened to Meredith, and not amount of self-serving notes written by one of the suspects will likely make it better.

Amanda Knox's interview with Diane Sawyer went as planned and is expected to air on the 30th, so here's to hoping she'll actually look directly at the camera while answering questions through the whole thing. In the promo shots of her (pictured with this article) she doesn't appear to be able to make direct eye contact.
