No hazard found in suspicious letter at Daytona VA Clinic Thursday, No hazards were found in a suspicious letter at the Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Daytona Beach Thursday afternoon. Daytona Beach Fire Department spokesperson Lt.
Larry Stoney says a caller Thursday warned of the letter at the clinic. Daytona Beach Fire Department and Volusia County Fire Services Units responded to the clinic and secured the building in the 500 block of National Healthcare Drive.
The Volusia County Hazardous Materials Team then checked the letter and determined that “…the envelope was clear and no hazard was discovered.” Evidence from the incident was turned over to federal authorities.
