Yesterday, May 2, 2013, prosecutor Juan Martinez systematically ripped apart Jodi Arias' defense, brought the courtroom to tears and told the jury that Arias was nothing more than a manipulative liar who had easily looked the jurors straight in the eye and lied to them.
He also described the defense theory that Jodi Arias slit Travis Alexander's throat in self-defense as another lie. He referred to that gruesome act that nearly decapitated the up and coming business man as a direct attack.
Arias' defense team has argued that Arias is a longtime sufferer of domestic abuse and battery therefore suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and killed Travis Alexander after he lunged at her, causing her to fear for her life.
Arias changed her story of events three times and admitted on the stand that she continually lied to protect herself.
She also spoke to a media outlet and stated, "No jury will convict me -- I'm innocent."
The jury is expected to get the case today and deliberations will begin following closing arguments.
