Teen mom banned from yearbook: Caitlin Tiller's photo with son removed

Teen mom banned from yearbook: Caitlin Tiller's photo with son removed, The students had been encouraged to use props in their senior photos that represented their achievements. Tiller says that having her son in April 2012 pushed her to work harder, and as a result she managed to graduate early. She began college classes in January and has been working at a job 30 hours a week. She says she wouldn't be who she is today without her son.

The photo featuring Caitlin and her son Leelin was submitted, and she was told just two days before the yearbook went to print that the teen mom was banned from having that photo in the yearbook. She was told she could provide a different photo or could use the photo with her baby in the “Senior Advertising” section in the back of the book.

Tiller says her message is that people can make mistakes and overcome them, and she sees the photo as one that sends a positive message. The school did not reply to Huffington Post's request for a comment, and Randolph County Schools is said to be standing by their decision regarding the teen mom's ban from the yearbook.
