Man spends life savings on carnival game

Man spends life savings on carnival game, Anyone that has ever been to a carnival has seen the games that offer the biggest and best prizes. All you have to do is pay a few dollars, complete a simple task and that prize is yours, right? We all no better, but the challenge still gets us and we usually walk away empty handed. One New Hampshire man couldn't walk away from one game and ended up blowing his life savings, $2600.00 as reported by WBZ-TV on April 29, 2013.

At a carnival in Manchester, Henry Gribbohm, 30, had his eye on an Xbox Kinect at the Tubs of Fun game. All he had to do was toss the balls into the tub and even got to practice. He said when practicing it was easy, but when it was time to play for the prize, the balls kept bouncing back out.

"It's not possible that it wasn't rigged," said Gribbohm.

Gribbohm returned home after spending $300.00 within just a few minutes, only to return to the carnival with $2300.00. Just a short time after that he walked away with no money, no Xbox Kinect, but he did have an extra large stuffed banana with dreadlocks.

"You just get caught up in the whole I've got to win my money back," he said.

Gribbohm returned the next day to complain and the man running the game gave him $600.00 back. Unhappy with the result, he went and filed a report with the Manchester Police Department.

Gribbohm is considering filing a lawsuit and says "for once in my life I became that sucker.

Police Lieutenant Maureen Tessier says there is investigation going on to determine if there was any fraud.

The carnival is run by Fiesta Shows and is setting up in Derry, but Tubs of Fun will not be part of it. The game which is run by an independent contractor is not allowed to set up while an investigation is going on.

Have you ever won anything big at a carnival or do you think the games are all rigged?
