Starbucks 'Vagina' cup offends customer, A worker messed up bad when a Starbucks cup was inked with the word "Vagina" instead of the name "Virginia" for a customer waiting for her drink Monday. Huffington Post reports April 30 that Virginia Goh was understandably upset when she saw what a barista penned on the side of her drink.
The customer's sister, Veronica Goh, posted a photo of the Starbucks 'Vagina' cup on the company's Hong Kong Facebook page.
"THIS is just UNACCEPTABLE," she wrote. "Starbucks HK, you have to buck up or just not spell your customers' name [SIC] anyway."
She added, "Every Starbucks experience for her has been coupled with fear and anticipation."
Veronica added that it's not the first time Starbucks as screwed up her sister's name. The word "virgin" was once written across her cup.
A lot of people named Virginia or Regina are accustomed to others teasing them or kidding them about being called something else, but when a restaurant or coffee house makes an error it's a lot more offensive.
