Grand River flooding viewed from NASA satellites

Grand River flooding viewed from NASA satellites, The Grand River flooding was certainly historic. Satellites in outer space even saw the changes in the widening river. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite observed the flooding.

When I looked at the images, I’m amazed not only at the Grand River but also with the change in the landscape around Saginaw.

The photos in the NASA story were taken on April 5 (before the flooding) and April 21 (near the flooding peak).

In addition to the flooding notice how green the landscape has become with the record April rain.
