Empire State Building fall: Man survives jump from Empire State Building, A man survived an Empire State Building fall on Thursday, the NY Post reported on April 26.

According to the report, Nathaniel Simone, 33, climbed over a security fence on the observation deck of the 86th floor around 11:30 p.m. on Thrusday, and jumped.

However, Simone only fell to the 85th floor, and miraculously survived the Empire State Building fall.

“He climbed over the fence and dropped down,” a police source said.
The man suffered a broken ankle and was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment while in police custody.

The man who survived the Empire State Building fall was charged with reckless endangerment, trespassing, and disorderly conduct, but came away from the scary situation with his life.

The fact that Simone suffered such little injury from the building fall is amazing, as most would not have been able to walk away from such an event.
