Race day forecast: High pressure settles in, fair weather abounds, Weak upper level low pressure will quickly pass north and east of the entire multi-track span early on Friday morning. A few showers, of rain or snow, may dot the landscape across the northern-most tracks, with just some clouds and sprinkles across the more southern locations.
The good news for the entire area is that a large and sprawling ridge of high pressure begins to build into the region by later Friday morning and early Friday afternoon. This high pressure will be the dominant feature in the weather through the coming weekend, and provide mostly sunny skies during the daytime hours, and mostly clear to partly cloudy skies at night. The overnight periods may be a bit chilly, as the winds become light to calm with the setting of the sun, lending to ideal cooling conditions.
…FRIDAY RACE TRACK FORECASTS…
Albany-Saratoga Speedway: After some morning rain and/or snow showers move through the region, a general clearing trend is expected. Race time should feature a mix of sun and clouds, and temperatures in the 50’s. A west to northwest wind of 5-10 MPH should diminish, becoming light by sunset, as temperatures dip through the 40’s.
Glen Ridge Motorsports Park: A quick snow shower may be possible this morning with the upper level system pushing through. Any minute accumulations should quickly vanish by afternoon as the April sunshine warms things up. Race time temperatures should be in the 50’s with a mix of sun and clouds. West winds of 5-10 MPH should diminish, becoming light by sunset. Temperatures are forecast to fall back through the 40’s during the racing program.
…SATURDAY RACE TRACK FORECASTS…

Race time temperatures should be in the low 60’s, dropping back through the 50’s during the evening hours.
