Steve Nash child support: NBA star contests support payments for 'spoiled kids'

Steve Nash child support: NBA star contests support payments for 'spoiled kids', Los Angeles Lakers star Steve Nash is battling his ex-wife, Alejandra Nash, over child support payments, TMZ reported April 29.

The South African-born NBA player doesn't want to pay Alejandra in child support, but not because of the typical ‘deadbeat dad’ reasons, but because he’s concerned about raising spoiled kids.

The 39-year-old Los Angeles Lakers point guard is locked in the strange legal war in Arizona with his ex-wife over child support payments.

Alejandra is already getting a whopping $30,000 from Nash each month, but the mother of Nash’s three children wants more and is appealing the judge’s decision.

Despite bringing in $30,000 a month, Alejandra says Nash makes a million dollars more than she does each month, and she feels that the disparity is unfair to herself and the children, for whom she has custody.

Nash’s take?

‘I’m already paying plenty.’ According to TMZ, Nash funds 90 percent of medical, school and extracurricular activities, and over 80 percent of the nanny's salary, which is over $2,000 per month.

Nash calls his ex an "excessive spender" who will end up spoiling their kids and spending money on crazy luxuries for them, skewing their perspective about economics and what it takes to make it in today’s competitive world.
